Mary Hollingsworth Denton

Mary Hollingsworth Denton, 84, of 3613 Colewood Drive passed away peacefully at Kindred Healthcare and Rehab in Raleigh on June 6, 2012.
Mary was born on November 8, 1927 in Pilot Mountain to the late Fletcher Lee Hollingsworth and Mattie Flippen Hollingsworth. Mary was a housewife and drove a school bus for Wake County School System having a special place in her heart for the special needs children that she transported each day.
Funeral service, 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2012 at Longview Baptist Church, 2308 New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC 27604. The family will receive relatives and friends following the service in the fellowship hall and other times at the home on Colewood Drive, Raleigh. Burial, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
Survivors are her son, Frank N. Denton Jr. of Garner; daughters, Pat D. Phillips of Raleigh, Betty Jo D. Woodall of Raleigh, Jeannie D. Mangum and her husband, Tommy of Garner; grandchildren, Jody Bagwell and his wife, Paige, Chad Bagwell, Rachel Peterson and her husband, Jacob, Michelle Mangum; great-grandchildren, Lyla Bagwell, & Molly Bagwell.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Norris Denton, Sr. in 2001 and two grandchildren, Jeffrey Rose and Wendy Rose.
