Claude Cecil Hollandsworth


Claude Cecil Hollandsworth, devoted husband, father, and Christian, 87, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, at his residence in Kingsport, Tenn.

He grew up in Edwight, W.Va., and was a graduate of Marsh Fork High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Armco Steel Corporation for 38 years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lea Hollandsworth; his parents, J. Floyd and Plina Hollandsworth; sisters, Polly Kyle and Edith Marie Hollandsworth; and brothers, Basil and Delmar Hollandsworth.
He is survived by his sister, Jeanetta Stewart and brother-in-law Ed of Beckley; son, James John Hollandsworth and daughterin-law, Gail, and grandchildren, Andrew, Lily and Michael of Kingsport, Tenn.; and daughter, Cecilia Ann Stillwell and sonin-law Robert, and grandchildren, Benjamin and Kori of Woodbridge, Va.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27th, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in the Boone Memorial Park at Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
