Mrs. Leroy Holandsworth
Mrs. Leroy Hollandsworth, an estimable lady of the Bem neighborhood, died Monday, May 6, (1929) at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 10 days. Mrs. Hollandsworth had been in failing health for some time but was considered seriously ill only a few weeks.
Catherine Melissa Hollandsworth, nee Warren, was born Nov. 26, 1863, and lived most of her life in Gasconade county. In 1881 she married Mr. L.I. Ridenhour, who preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1918. She was then united in marriage to Mr. Leroy Hollandsworth on Sept. 22, 1920. In her younger years she was converted and joined the church then known as Old Bethel Baptist Church. About a year ago she moved her membership to Owensville Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her bereaved companion and one brother, Robert Warren, of Pottersville, Missouri. Her near relatives are: I.N. Naugle of Gerald, Marion Naugle of Belle, Mrs. Randolph Collier of Oak Hill, Mrs. Theo. Mittendorf of Bem and Mrs. Catherine Russell of El Reno, Oklahoma. These besides many other relatives and friends mourn her departure.
Funeral services conducted by her pastor, Rev. J.S. Arvin, were held Wednesday, from the home at 12:30 p.m., to the Oak Hill Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
