Cline C. Hollandsworth


Cline C. Hollandsworth, 88 of Roanoke died Sunday, July 27, 2014. He was born January 27, 1926 in Floyd County, son of the late Collie and Myrtle Hollandsworth. Mr. Hollandsworth retired as superintendant of the Parks and Recreation department with the City of Roanoke.

He is survived by his wife, Ethelene Duncan Hollandsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Gene and Alison Hollandsworth of Smithfield; grandson and his wife, Jeffery Scott and Danielle Hollandsworth of Smithfield; brothers, Jabe Hollandsworth of Christiansburg and Andrew Garrett Hollandsworth of Riner; also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Minerva Phillips and Loraine Criner and brothers, John C. Hollandsworth and Loring Hollandsworth.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Oakey’s North Chapel with Rev. Darryl G. Crim officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Oakey’s North Chapel.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of Carrington Place and Lewis Gale Medical Center for their fine care.
