Carrie Bernita Hollingsworth

Carrie Bernita Hollingsworth, 98, of Wilmington, passed away November 28, 2018 at Ohio Living Cape May.
Her husband, Milton D. Hollingsworth, preceded her in death May 28, 2002. They were married July 26, 1952.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was born May 28, 1920 in Wilmington, daughter of the late Russell and Gladys Murray Irvin. She was a 1939 graduate of Wilmington High School.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ. She was active in the Port William and Bowersville Senior Centers where she enjoyed playing euchre.
Her pride and joy, however, was her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great granddaughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Dearth of Cincinnati; a son, David M. (Lisa) Hollingsworth of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Andy (Natalie) Dearth, Kyle (Sherry) Dearth, Nick (Rachel) Dearth, Nate (Ann) Hollingsworth, Zach (Krista) Hollingsworth, and Leah (Ayo) Ademiluyi; 12 great-grandchildren, Elora, Olivia, Brenna, Gunner, Kahlin, Max, Jack, Lili, Amari, Israel, Zuriel, and Jaxton; a great-great-granddaughter, Winter; her close friend, Eva Botts; and numerous special friends at Ohio Living Cape May.
In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Wendell Irvin, and a sister, Norma Graves, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m Saturday, December 1 at the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W. Locust St., Wilmington, with Dale McCamish officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, December 1 at the Wilmington Church of Christ.
The family would especially like to thank the staff of Ohio Living Cape May and Crossroads Hospice for the care and compassion Mrs. Hollingsworth received.
