Cecil D. Hollingsworth


Cecil D. Hollingsworth, 91, of Nahant, passed away Thursday June 5, 2008 at the Salem Hospital. He was
the husband of Laura (Cooke) Hollingsworth, with whom he shared fifty-five years of marriage.

Born in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, and educated in Lynn, he was the son of the late William A. and Marguerite
(Lavendar) Hollingsworth. Prior to his retirement, Cecil was employed with Connely and Daggett for
twenty five years, and Hinkle Oil in Saugus for twenty years. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid
gunsmith.

In addition to his wife, Cecil is survived by his children Kenneth Hollingsworth of NH, Cecile and her
husband Donald Watson of Missouri, Denise and her husband Stephen Nicketakis of Nahant, Kirk and his
wife Diane Peterson of Florida, a brother Kenneth Hollingsworth of Wenham, three sisters Kathleen
Reynolds of Swampscott, Doris Hefler of Nahant and Frances Tucker of Indiana, six grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Cecil was the father of the late Shirley Amirault,
David Hollingsworth, Barbara Jean Gagnon and Raymond Peterson, brother of the late Thelma Ross and
Marguerite Taylor, and seven grandchildren predeceased him.

Service Information: A funeral service will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home 128 Washington Street,
Lynn on Monday at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
