Caroline Velasco Hollingsworth


Caroline Velasco Hollingsworth, 85, died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 29, 1996.
She was born on February 20, 1911 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Jose and Maria Velasco.
As a young girl, she moved with her family to Waukegan, Illinois where she attended St. Joseph's Grade School and Waukegan Township High School.
She was united in marriage to Alva Willard Hollingsworth of Rose Hill, Iowa on September 23, 1930. Caroline was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan.
She is survived by 1 son, LeRoy (Rita) Hollingsworth of Waukegan, and a daughter, Patricia Ogilvie of British Columbia, Canada, also 10 grandchildren, Jennifer (Pete) Marutiak, Leslie (Bruce) Habjan, James (Sandi) Hollingsworth, Mitchell Hollingsworth, Samantha Ogilvie, Bill (Sue) Pucin, Jr., Andy (Nancy) Pucin, Matthew Pucin, David Pucin, and Georgette (Kurt) Bargman and 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, and 1 brother, Alberto Velasco of Mexico.
Caroline was preceded in death by her husband Willard, beloved daughter Delores Pucin, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A private family service was held.
