Carol Jean Hollingsworth

Carol Jean Hollingsworth, 76, Maryville, Mo., died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mo.
She was born April 9, 1929 in St. Joseph, Mo., to Charles James and Myrtle (Cunningham) James, but was raised as a daughter by Bert and Jenny Welsch of French Bottoms, Mo.
She was married to William Jewell Hollingsworth on January 18, 1951 in St. Joseph.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a memeber of Eastern Star, Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society (MASTERS) and the Breast Cancer Support Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles B. "Sonny" James.
Survivors are her husband, Bill Hollingsworth, of the home in Maryville; three daughters; Carol Renee and husband Jon C. Coverdell, Knob Noster, Mo., Deborah Rae Hargis, St. Joseph, Mo., and Mary Juledene and husband Rodney G. Coverdell, Maryville; son, William Clay and wife Lynda L. Hollingsworth, Maitland, Mo.; sister, Virginia Mae Vest, Montgomery, Ill.; brother, Jerry L. James, Agency, Mo.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
