John Carroll Hollingsworth

John Carroll Hollingsworth, 83, a resident of Baker and native of Bee Lake, MS, died on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Carpenter House of St. Joseph's Hospice in Baton Rouge. He was an engineer for WBRZ for 39 years. He attended Cooks Radio School where he got a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal proudly serving in the US Marine Corps.

Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary services. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker, LA.

John is survived by his daughter, Joni Hollingsworth of Baker, Sons, John Hollingsworth and wife Paul of Zachary, Tim Hollingsworth and wife Eileen of Zachary and Tom Hollingsworth of Baker, twelve grandchildren, Kipp Hollingsworth, Casey Hollingsworth, Stephanie Love, Stephen Love, Abbey Searles, Orin Hollingsworth, Barrett Hollingsworth, Austin Hollingsworth, Jordan Love, Amanda Hollingsworth, Jeanne Hollingsworth and Matthew Hollingsworth, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Joann Byrd Hollingsworth, parents, William Wallace and Edna Mae Hollingsworth, and brother, 
Bill Hollingsworth.
