Ted Lewis Hollingsworth
Ted Lewis Hollingsworth, 58, passed away at his home on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015.
Ted was born on Dec. 31, 1956, in Asheboro, N.C., the son of Ray and Myrtle Davis Hollingsworth. He was a graduate of Randleman High School in 1975 and continued his education at East Carolina University where he graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Arts. In December 1982, he married Debbie Deaton Hollingsworth and they made their home in Randleman, N.C.
Ted was the owner and creative director of Line Design Graphics for 29 years, as well as a local Realtor. He was the chairman of the City of Randleman Zoning Board, a member of the New Market Civitans, the East Carolina Pirate Club and a representative for Triad County Pirate Club. He was also a youth league coach in the city of Randleman and a NCHSAA soccer referee. In 2013, he was the recipient of the Forever Pirates Alumni Legacy Parent of the Year award and in 2015 he received the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant Sponsor of the year award. He was also a season ticket holder of East Carolina football and the Carolina Hurricanes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hollingsworth.
Ted is survived by his mother, Myrtle Davis Hollingsworth and his wife Debbie Deaton Hollingsworth of Randleman; daughter, Kayla Renee Hollingsworth of Randleman; and son, Robert Ray Hollingsworth of Asheboro.
He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Bullins and husband Roger of Randleman; and a brother, Kenneth Hollingsworth and wife Judith of Duncanville, Texas.
Visitation will be held at Fairfield United Methodist Church on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Fairfield United Methodist Church in High Point, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to the Missions Committee at Fairfield United Methodist Church, 1505 N.C. 62, High Point, NC 27262.
