Ronnie K. Hollinsworth


Ronnie K. Hollinsworth, 57, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
He was born in Monroe County on Sept. 29, 1952, to Evelyn V. Greanead Hollinsworth Willis and the late Rondle C. Hollinsworth. He was employed at ACK Controls and was a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Cave Springs Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam era and a past magistrate in Monroe County.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Greanead Hollinsworth Willis, his wife, Barbara Cornwell Hollinsworth, two sons: Jamie and Frank Hollinsworth, two brothers: Charles and Marty Hollinsworth, one sister: Colleen Compton; and four grandchildren, all of Tompkinsville.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Copas.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Strode Funeral Home, in Tompkinsville, with burial in the Old Mount Hermon Cemetery. Military rites were performed at graveside by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.
Family requests memorials be made to the Old Mount Hermon Cemetery.
