Loretta B. Hollinsworth

March 10, 1931 — September 22, 2014

The daughter of Farley and Audra Brown, Loretta was born in Cromwell, Oklahoma. Along with her three siblings, she spent her youth being raised in Drumright, Oklahoma accumulating many years of fond memories with family and friends.
In 1948, while on a trip to visit her sister in Taft, California, Loretta met her soon to be husband Paul Hollinsworth. They married and spent the next 38 years working and raising their family in Bakersfield, California.
Loretta worked at KMC and Memorial Hospital for many years in the nursery departments. Paul and Loretta together began serving Christ in 1967. After Paul's death in 1986, Loretta continued serving the Lord at Valley Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord led her to to become an active member of the "Character Class". She was always ready and willing to help organize or participate in anyway.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Left behind to cherish her memory are brother; Marvin Brown and his wife Juanita, sisters; Roberta Fobroy, Carol Crumbo and her husband Don, her children; son, Phil Hollinsworth and his wife Pat, daughters, Susan Fowler and her husband Don, Midge Conley and her husband Jerry, 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren along with numerous other relatives and many friends.
Services will be held on Friday, September 26th, 10:00am at Greenlawn on River Boulevard.
