Helen Hollingworth Miller

Helen Hollingworth Miller, 69, returned home Friday, October 14, 2005 in Sandy, Utah, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born December 26, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Helen was the youngest of Benjamin Hanson Hollingworth and Edna "D" Davis's five children. She attended Granite High School but was a member of the first graduating class of Olympus High School. She married the late Dean Gilbert Jensen November 17, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple (later divorced) and they raised three children. A University of Utah education graduate, Helen taught at Granger High School, Murray High School, Stevens Henager College, and Salt Lake Community College. She later worked as a legal secretary, legal assistant, and corporate service representative. Helen 's musical talents will long be remembered. A twenty-year Mormon Tabernacle Choir member, she also served as a pianist, organist, and choir director in various Latter-day Saint wards. Later in life, Helen was a senior sister missionary in the Ohio Columbus Mission and served as an ordinance worker and organist in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples. Survivors, William E. Miller, husband, Salt Lake City; children, Randolyn J. Emerson (Paul), Cary NC; Susankae J. Mason (Michael), Plano, TX; and Jerald P. Jensen (Tiffany), Salt Lake City. Grandchildren, Erik L. Goodin, Raleigh, NC; Breeana and Garrett M. Mason, Plano, TX; Daniel B. Emerson, Cary, NC; N. Brein and Chandler D. Jensen, SLC. Siblings, Graham D. Hollingworth (Gwen) and Franklin D. Hollingworth (Marilyn), SLC; Diana Calhoun Meyer (David), Phoenix, AZ. Predeceased by parents; brother, Lawrence D. Hollingworth ; and Dean G. Jensen. A graveside service of remembrance and interment will take place Monday, October 17, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 S. Memory Lane (2000 E.). Cannon Mortuary, funeral directors.
