Alma Mae Hollinsworth Williams
Alma Mae Hollinsworth Williams, 99, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, while in the company of family members at her home.
Alma was born in Tompkinsville on Nov. 2, 1912, a daughter of the late Mary Ann (Smith) and Gid Hollinsworth. She was married to Keene Williams, who preceded her in death in 1961.
Alma was baptized at an early age and attended Berea Chapel United Methodist Church faithfully. During her business career, she owned a dairy farm, a grocery store and a laundromat. She was a member of the Golden Girls Bridge Club, the Red Hatters Club and was a member of the bethlehem Eastern Star.
Alma is survived by a daughter, Sue Ann (Danny) Zoller of Bowling Green; two grandsons, Lee Keenan (Holland) Zoller of Gallatin, Tenn., and Jeb (Kristi) Zoller of Columbia, S.C.; five great-grandchildren, Keen Zoller, Smith Zoller, Stuart Zoller, Ree Williams Zoller and Grant Zoller. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Willodean Hollinsworth, and one brother-in-law, Ellis Dale.
A special thanks for the loving care of her caregivers, Shirley, Edna and Anita.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann (Smith) and Gid Hollinsworth; her husband, Keene Williams; two brothers, Truman Hollinsworth and John Black Hollinsworth; and three sisters, Nelda Yokley, Pearl Proffitt and Virginia Dale.
Funeral services will be at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, with Bill Richards officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
